Gary has extensive experience in landlord and tenant, commercial and residential, boundaries and easements, restrictive covenants and other areas of property law both as a barrister and

He is now a freelance writer and lecturer. John speaks frequently at external conferences, including Investment Property Forum events, and has presented well over eight hundred training seminars to solicitors and surveyors. He has also appeared in training videos produced by Legal Network Television and the Surveyors’ Channel.
For sixteen years he has been joint editor of the Estates Gazette’s Planning Notes (and for part of that time joint editor of Planning Law Reports). He also publishes articles in a number of legal periodicals, including the Property Law Journal. John is the author of two books on commercial leases. He is also a member of the editorial board of Landlord & Tenant Review.

Home Information PacksMichael Garson, is currently the chair of the Law Society Property Section and an elected member of the Council of the Law Society and of the National Association of Estate Agents.

Piers is a barrister, called in 1997. His practice includes property law, the law relating to probate and trusts, commercial work and sports law. Within the property field his practice includes all aspects of landlord and tenant (commercial and residential including leasehold enfranchisement), boundary disputes, restrictive covenants, easements etc. Piers also undertakes professional negligence cases which relate to property law. He has experience of contentious probate cases and inheritance disputes. He has worked on complex trust cases in a variety of different contexts. He undertakes commercial and common law work. In relation to sports law Piers has advised on management agreements and sponsorship agreements in several different sports and has undertaken cases in front of both the Football League Disciplinary Committee and the Football League Appeal Committee.
